Glacial Caves
Mazes of Granite
Board the White Mountain Express Gondola to Loon Peak Summit for another world of adventure, including Loon's glacial caves.
Located in the forest just below Loon Peak summit, Loon's caves were formed by granite boulders deposited during the last Ice Age. Kids and kids-at-heart love to scramble through, under and around the jumble of hulking granite masses.
Access to the Glacial Caves is included with your Gondola Skyride ticket.
Footwear
Athletic footwear is highly recommended.
Weather
Foul weather can make the rocks slick and difficult to navigate and therefore forcing a temporary closure of the caves. If you're visiting after (or during) wet weather, check with a Loon team member for the status of the caves.

Caves Hours
The caves operate during the Gondola Skyride hours of operation. If you miss the last Gondola cabin from the summit, you're a hiker. You must follow the hiking routes to return to the base area.
During wedding ceremonies, you may experience a brief delay in accessing the caves.
